View looking west at the Fluted Minaret (Turkish: “Yivli Minaret”) that is located near the harbor of Antalya. This 125 ft. [39 m.] tall minaret was originally constructed during the Seljuk period in A.D. 1230.
Below it and to the right two domes of the Alaaddin Mosque (A.D. 1372) are visible. In the distance are the snowcapped peaks of the Taurus Mountains.
