View of a large–than–life statue of Athena—the goddess of wisdom, courage, etc. Note the Medusa image on her breast. She wears a chiton that is tied slightly above the waist and over this an outer garment — a himation.
Compare another statue of Athena found at Perga.
This statue was one of many (but less than 20) found near the Caracalla Nymphaeum at Perga.
