View looking north at a preserved portion of the seating area of the Stadium at Nysa. To the right of the seating area, note the partially preserved arch that originally supported more of the seats—it also gives a good idea of the deep valley over which the stadium was built.
The Stadium (it could also be called an Amphitheater) was built on arches OVER the valley on the right. It is interesting to note that the Stadium/Amphitheater at Pergamum was also built over a valley!
In the upper left, behind the large tree, the cavea of the Theater is visible.
