This bronze bowl is ornamented in gold and silver relief. It was made to collect rainwater during the month of April. This rain is considered "sacred" and is/was used for ritual purposes.
It was made for Ebu Said Bahadir Khan (1305–1335) who ruled in Mosul. It was presented to the museum in 1333.
