View looking west at the interior of the Temple of Zeus at Aizanoi (Aezani). The north and the west (on the left) walls are well preserved, but the other two walls have disappeared.
The temple was actually entered progressing from right to left (east to west). Underneath this stone floor was a large "cellar"—actually, almost the same size as the temple itself!
The podium on which it stands measures 121 x 108 ft. [37 x 33 m.].
