This large slab records, in Latin, the text of the decree of the Roman Governor of the Roman Province of Galatia, Lucius Antistius Rusticus, to fix the prices of goods in Antioch during the famine of A.D. 92/93. This decree was made to counter "price gauging" during the famine. This was during the reign of the Emperor Domitian who's name appeared in lines, 3, 9, and 10. After his death, his name was blotted out (damnatio memoriae, "condemnation of memory") because of his infamy. Notice how the name has been chiseled out in those lines.
It had been erected in the Tiberius Plaza. It is one of three plates that were found during the excavations of 1924.
It is on display in the Archaeology Museum in Yalvaç.
