View of Terrace House 3 looking southeast. In the lower left is a reception area with a mosaic floor. In the center of the image is the peristyle atrium that was open to the sky. In the upper portion of the image note carefully the frescos on the walls of the several rooms. These are original!
Actually in the NT era Terrace Houses 3 and 5 formed one house and it was not until the second century A.D.. that it was divided into houses 3 and 5.
