View looking east across the courtyard of the Blue Mosque. To the left of center is a small–sided dome structure, this is a sadirvan used for ritual ablutions that Moslems perform prior to their prayers. However, today it is not functional and several other areas are reserved for this purpose.
Note too, some of the 30 small domes that cover the portico of the courtyard.
The large green area is the main entrance to the mosque.
