View looking west at the façade of the nymphaeum (monumental fountain) at Gadara. From left (south) to right note a small portion of the paving of the main street of Gadara, the interlocking curbing stones, the water trough, and the series of niches. All of this is constructed of basalt—the local volcanic stone.
