Imperial Cult Room

Imperial Cult Room

Artifacts that relate to the "Imperial Cult" are displayed in this room.  Among them, from the Temple of the Flavian Sebastoi (sometimes called the Temple of Domitian), are the head and arm of a statue of Domitian and parts of the altar that stood in front of the temple.

In addition are the original friezes from the Tempe of Hadrian, some fragments of the Parthian Monument, and statues of Emperor Augustus and his wife Livia.
