General view of the inner room of the “throne room” at Knossos. It has been suggested that the king of Knossos sat on this throne as he ruled his subjects.
The **throne** is partially visible on the right side of the image and the columns of a large **lustral pool** on the left side of the image are visible.
The room is decorated with copies of the original frescos. Three Griffins are visible in this image. They are lying among lily plants that are set against a red background.
Note the stone floor and the stone basin in its center.
