View looking north at the Early Roman (Herodian?) drainage channel that is located under the street that leads up from the Pool of Siloam along the Tyropoeon Valley and that passes along the western side of the Temple Mount.

This large drainage channel is 10 ft. (3 m.) high and one can easily walk upright in it.  This same drainage channel exists under the northern portions of this street, but it is not open to the public as is this southern portion.

Entering this "system" from the south one walks on the steps of the street, but at a certain point the path transitions to the Drainage System pictured here.
