Statue of Aphrodite and Eros from Perge. The statue is made of marble and is about 6.6 ft. [2 m.] high from the second century A.D. Eros is the small figure at knee level on her left.
Aphrodite was the Greek goddess of love, beauty, and fertility (= Roman Venus). The original Aphrodite was done by Praxiteles for the city of Knidos in the fourth century B.C.
