View looking north at the façade of the Nymphaeum. This still stands to a height of 50 ft. [15 m.] and is 100 ft. [32 m.] long. This is one of the best-preserved structures on the acropolis of Aspendos and dates to the late second century A.D.
Note the four niches and one door in the lower portion and the five niches in the upper portion. This façade was originally covered in marble and statues adorned the niches!
Water was brought to it via an aqueduct and siphon system from the Isaurian Mountains.
