This larger-than-life statue is of L. Antonius Claudius Dometeinos, a local magnate who was honored by the city of Aphrodisias. It was found at the entrance to the Bouleuterion. He wears a civic dress and a heavy priestly crown, decorated with busts of Aphrodite and Roman emperors. (from the museum description)
Note the bound scrolls by his feet.
