Middle Bronze Area

photo

View looking south southeast at the area where two Middle Bronze II structures were excavated.

On the right (west) side of the image is the massive foundation of the large MB II tower. To the left (east) of the path is the descent into the water system of Gezer. The MB II gate is located directly above this—where a cut in the side of the mound is partially visible. The wooden bridge leads across the wall from the MB II period. (MB II = 2000 B.C. to 1550 B.C.).
