Eastern Tower and Storage Rooms
photoA view looking east over the eastern section of Agrippa II's Palace. In the distance are a series of Roman arches that covered (storage) rooms—some unexcavated with debris in them.
In the center of the image is the southern apse of a structure that served as a "basilica" and a tower that guarded the eastern entrance into the palace. A similar structure was found on the west side of the palace—on the west side of the modern road. This structure was turned into a bathhouse in the Byzantine Period.
