View looking west at the two most sacred areas of the shrine/temple. At the bottom of the image, just visible is the top most step leading into the holy place. The "holy place" is the broad room in the center portion of the image. Its entrance is flanked by the two courses of stones on the left (south) and right (north) site of the image.
In the distance (just above the center of the image) are the two steps that lead into the most holy area (aka "Holy of Holies). Compare this design with the earlier Israelite temple at Arad.
