View looking west at the “Theater” that was built in Jerusalem. The location of the theater is not known for certain and no archaeological remains have been found—although some believe that “theater seats” have been found in Benjamin Mazar’s excavations near the southwestern corner of the Temple Mount area.
In this model, the theater has been placed on the eastern slope of the western hill. In fact, excavations have taken place in this area but no theater remains have been found. But due to the lack of reasonable alternative locations, the location of the theater in this model has not been changed.
