View of one of the frames of the third-century mosaic found in the triclinium of the elite house at Sepphoris.
Unfortunately, this frame is damaged. There are seven figures in it. The one reclining holding a staff and with his hand raised is probably Dionysus. Below him, to the right, reclining on a couch is possibly a female figure (Ariadne?)—probably not Herakles for his staff is nowhere to be seen. It might be that some of the figures a playing musical instruments while others may be pouring wine.
