View looking northwest down at the remnants of a large Nymphaeum that is located on the north slope of the acropolis of Gadara. In the lower left of the image are remnants of the main street of Gadara.
A nymphaeum is a large public fountain that was often richly decorated with statues of prominent persons and deities.
