A view looking west down the North Aisle of the Basilica Church at Laodicea from the Diaconicon—with the opus sectile floor in the foreground. The aisle is about 113 feet long and 25 feet wide. The doorway at the far end is one of the west entrances to the church
On the left (south) side of the image, the massive stone-built columns were originally clad with marble. To the left of them is where the central nave (partially visible) is located. On the right (north) side of the image, the three side apses of this aisle are partially visible.
The mosaic floor in this area is not as well preserved as the one in the South Aisle.
