View of rows of columns at the entrance to the Temple of Apollo at Didyma.
Note on the left the sequence of columns which lead to a dark - barely visible - doorway. This doorway is a covered passageway that leads down into the open "cella" - the great hall - of the temple. Note the extensive use of marble in this temple.
