View looking north at the southern wall of the well–preserved eight-chambered granary of Hadrian (Roman Emperor A.D. 117–138). The flat, light-brown area on the right (east) was the location of the—now silted–in—harbor.
Compare the Granary of Hadrian at Andriace—only 35 mi. [56 km.] to the east.
