View looking south at the “Royal Portico” that Herod built on the southern portion of the Temple Mount. In the right portion of the image is a portion of the “Court of Women” and the “Beautiful Gate.”
Note also in the courtyard just in front of the area two openings. These are entrances/exits that lead into and out of the Temple Mount area from the Double and the Triple Gates.
