This is a Latin inscription that was found in and is now on display in the mausoleum of Augustus.  It is composed of two parts.

The three lines on the left commemorate the burial of Marcellus, the nephew of Augustus.  He was the designated heir of Augustus, but died in 23 B.C. and was actually the first person to be buried in the mausoleum.

On the right, the inscription commemorates Octavia the Younger, the mother of Marcellus and sister of Augustus who died in 11 B.C. and was also buried in the mausoleum.
