In the foreground are the rock-carved stone foundations of the Augustus Temple. The plaza in front of it is 210 ft. wide and 280 ft. long. It stretches from the left to the right side of the image. It was a huge open space that was part of the sanctuary complex where worshippers could gather.
Above this "plaza," in the upper 1/3 of the image, it narrows into another long plaza that is called "Tiberius Square."
