View looking down at the southern corner of the semicircular portico that surrounds the Temple of Augustus on three sides.
Note the two steps that lead up to the two-storied portico. The rectangular impressions in the vertical wall are sockets into which wooden beams were placed to support the second story of the portico.
From here the portico bends in a counterclockwise direction toward the left side of the photo.
