View looking west down the Via Tecta, the Sacred Way, that led from the acropolis of Pergamum to the Asclepion. About 500 ft. [150 m.] of it has been cleared. Note the Ionic columns on both sides of the street and note the line of paving stones in the center of the street that cover the still–in–place drain (compare the one at Laodicea).
