A limestone orthostat from Carchemish depicting a Banquet Scene. To the left of the cross-legged table sits a bearded figure on a cross-legged chair with a back. He holds a goblet in his right hand, which is extended upward. A servant with a fan stands behind him. On the right side of the table is a servant with a cup in his hand. On the far right is a musician playing an instrument with a fringe on its handle.
The orthostat is about 3.5 feet high and dates to the Neo-Hittite Period (ca. 900-717 BC).
