The Harod Valley descends from the site of Jezreel, at the southeastern edge of the Jezreel Valley, to the southeast down to Beth Shan and the Jordan River. It is 11 mi. [17 km. ] long and about 3 mi [5 km. ] wide. It is located to the south of the Mt. Moreh and to the north of Mt. Gilboa.
It is a very important thoroughfare that connects Transjordan with the Mediterranean port of Acco (NT Ptolemais).
