Looking north through the southern entrance of the Late Roman Temple in Antioch on the Orontes, you can see a ramp at the center of the image leading into the inner temple area, which is now filled with olive trees.
To the left, there are two distinct walls:
The outer foundation wall of the Temple Platform is preserved to a height of 15 feet! It is built of opus caementicium (roman concrete) with pebble stones and cement mortar.
