The theater had 80 rows of seats and was the steepest of all of the theaters in Turkey. The vertical drop from the top seats to the stage area is 165 ft. [50 m.]. There are two diazomata, "belts," separating the three sections of the theater. It could seat about 10,000 people.
The tree below the tower in the upper left portion of the image marks the site of the Altar of Zeus. To the left of the tower are the foundations of the Temple of Athena.
